Privacy notice

[DRAFT: needs a legal read before launch.] This notice explains, in plain words, what happens to the details you give on this site. [LAST UPDATED: date, set when it is published.]

Who is responsible for your details

Anantha Nayaki, an Authorised LIC Agent (agency code LIC0329774J, LIC Sivagangai branch), runs this site and decides how the details you give here are used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 this makes her the data fiduciary.

This is an agent's website, not LIC of India's official website.

To ask anything about your details, write to [email protected] or call +91-9994565373.

[CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: the legal name she should be named under, and a postal address if she wants one shown.]

What this site collects

When you use the contact form or book a call, you give:

  • your name and mobile number,
  • your city (contact form only),
  • what it is about, if you choose to say (optional),
  • for a booked call, the time and the kind of conversation you chose: phone call, video call or home visit.

The site also saves with your enquiry the language of the page you used and which link or campaign brought you here (for example a card or a post), so that she knows how you found her. Your browser holds that tag only for the length of your visit.

When you tick the consent box, the site records your consent: the wording you agreed to, the time, the language and your IP address.

The site does not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, bank or card details, or photos of documents, and you should not send them through the forms. Do not enter a child's details. For a child's plan, the parent is the client.

Where your details are stored

Your details are stored on a server in India.

[CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: the hosting provider's name if she wants it listed, and who else handles your details for her, such as a messaging service, and whether any of them is outside India.]

Why she uses your details

To contact you by call or WhatsApp about LIC products, and to arrange the call you asked for. That is the purpose in the consent line next to the box. Your IP address is also used to limit repeated submissions and to keep a record of your consent. [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: any other use.]

When you send the form or ask for a call, your name and the call time are sent to Anantha Nayaki's own phone or computer as a notification, through the browser maker's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla), encrypted so only her device can read it. She also gets an email alert through Gmail (Google); that email says only that a new enquiry or call request arrived, and when, and does not include your details. Your details themselves stay in our database.

Opting out of messages

The first message she sends you carries a line on how to opt out. You can also opt out at any time by telling her by call, WhatsApp or email. After that she will not contact you about LIC products. [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: the opt-out line is in place on her first message.]

How long your details are kept

  • If you have not become a client, we delete your enquiry details, including your call bookings, notes and alerts, 12 months after the last contact or activity on your enquiry. If you become a client, your details are kept while you are a client.
  • When you tick the consent box we keep a record of it: the wording you agreed to, the time, the language and your IP address. We keep this record after your enquiry is deleted, so she can prove you agreed. It is no longer linked to your enquiry. [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: how long consent records are kept.]
  • If you ask us to stop contacting you, or tell us you never asked to be contacted, we keep a one-way code made from your phone number, not the number itself, with the reason and date. We keep it only so that we never contact you again, even after your other details are deleted. It is never used for marketing or shared, and it cannot be turned back into your number.
  • Technical logs, such as the time and IP address of a request, may be kept for as long as the law requires, which can be longer than 12 months. They are not used to contact you.
  • Analytics counts are anonymous, and error reports have personal details removed. [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: how long analytics counts and error reports are kept; no retention period is set yet]

[LEGAL READ NEEDED: the 12-month deletion is planned but the deletion process is not in place yet, and the law on keeping logs may conflict with a promise to delete at once. Settle both before this section is published.]

Counting use of the site

We use Umami to count visits. It runs on our own server in India, sets no cookies [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH], and Umami does not keep your IP address in its counts [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH]. We respect your browser's Do Not Track setting: if it is on, nothing is counted.

We count which pages are viewed, which calculator is used, taps on the WhatsApp button, and completed contact forms and call bookings, with the page language for forms and bookings. We never count what you typed.

When the site breaks, in your browser or on our server, an error report goes to an error-tracking tool that runs on our own server in India. After personal details are removed, a report holds the page address without anything after the question mark, the type and version of your browser, and the error message.

[CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: how long analytics counts and error reports are kept; no retention period is set yet]

Sharing a result on WhatsApp

Each calculator can open WhatsApp with a message that holds the numbers you entered and the result. You can read and change the message before you send it, and nothing is sent from this page itself.

If you send it, the message goes to Anantha Nayaki through WhatsApp. That means the details you entered (for example age or age band, income, loans, savings) and the result reach her, and WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to the message.

Your rights

You can:

  • ask what details she holds about you,
  • ask her to correct or delete them,
  • withdraw your consent, as described above,
  • complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied, after writing to [email protected] first.

Deleting your details does not remove the consent record or the stop-contact code described above, because they are kept to prove consent and to make sure you are not contacted again.

[CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: how quickly she answers these requests, and the dates from which the Data Protection Rules apply to her; they phase in between November 2026 and May 2027.]
